Bora Bora Pied de Nez Association Repowering

  • Commercial

TECHNIC PLAISANCE (VOLVO PENTA SERVICE of our company) recently intervened with the Pied de Nez association to motorise the BORA BORA sail boat.

Formerly equipped with a MAN engine, this magnificent sail boat will now take off with a VOLVO PENTA D7 CTA engine on board.

The Pied de Nez association was created and is chaired by Mr. Jean-Claude ALLEGRE.

Its objective is to receive on a large comfortable sailing boat, children living with various pathologies and who are in the course of remission, or under more or less heavy treatments.

The president of the association Mr. ALLEGRE was himself very ill. He wanted to make sick children discover the sea in order for them to feel better and have even more desire to fight as if to take a head against the disease.

The Matelots de la Vie teamed up with the Pied de Nez association and boarded the Bora Borasail boat, rigged as an auric ketch.

The Matelots de la Vie expedition offers a maritime adventure dedicated to children hospitalised for long stays. It carries young people who have also been confronted with serious illnesses or accidents. They are privileged contacts of hospitalised children and share with them an expedition that, through a game, takes them to the discovery of rich and diverse cultures and natural environments.

The Matelots de la Vie has the mission of communicating their adventures and involving the children by making films and a website.
