SRA intervened some time ago with one of its customers complaining of an engine consuming oil in an abnormal way and suffering power losses. In response to its request, specialists visited the site to establish a first diagnosis of the engine concerned, namely the TAD1650VE, designed for industrial application.
The technicians concluded that the cylinder capacity was frozen and that a complete refurbishment was necessary. After the engine was disconnected from the machine, the customer's TAD1650VE was brought to the SRA workshops where qualified personnel were able to complete the complete renovation. With this performed, the engine underwent a series of testing procedures and then painting. The engine was then reassembled on the machine. Further tests were carried out with the operator.
